Drone performances, a novel form of starry sky art combining "technology + art + creativity," have gained widespread popularity in recent years. They are increasingly being used in various fields. On the evening of September 27, at the Victoria Harbour in Wan Chai's waterfront area, Hong Kong, Dàmò Dà Zhìkòng, with its third-generation intelligent drone formations, staged an incredibly captivating starry visual feast in collaboration with Hong Kong partners. As the scheduled take-off time arrived, 800 drones rose into the sky, like a group of lively sprites dancing in the night. This performance presented various patterns and texts in unique formations, incorporating elements like the "solar system, whales, meteor showers," blending technology and aesthetics, attracting many residents and tourists for viewing and photography.
This drone performance was part of the "Hong Kong Night Splendor" event, aiming to bring a visual feast to residents and tourists. Wan Chai’s waterfront has become a new landmark for Hong Kong's nightlife, drawing countless visitors to experience the city's unique charm. To help visitors better understand Hong Kong's culture, art, music, and technology, Wan Chai’s waterfront also specially set up the first nostalgic Hong Kong night market – "Waterfront Art and Leisure Pavilion." As a well-known drone performance company, Dàmò Dà has conducted several drone shows in Hong Kong, such as the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland drone show in Tai Po in 2022.
